Recently had my very first appt with Ashley, the PA. After being essentially ignored by my Urologist for nearly 15 months, Ashley immediately addressed my concerns and got a preliminary diagnosis in place, along with treatment and additional testing. I left Ashley’s office in tears because I felt so relieved that someone finally listened to me after suffering for so long. I finally feel like I am in the best hands possible. I am very pleased so far. My surgery was done by Dr. Aimee Nguyen at Plano Presbyterian Hospital on Tuesday. It required a one night sstay and most of the next day in the hospital. Surgery went well but I did not pass the bladder test on Wednesday afternoon so I had to go home with a catheter for 2 nights, and return to the office in Frisco for another catheter test, which I passed with no problems. My pain is well controlled with 500 mg Tylenol, but I have stronger pain medication if needed. I feel very good so far. I highly recommend Dr. Aimee Nguyen for women with pelvic floor issues, including bladder problems. It has been 5 weeks since my surgery and I am doing great. Walking is a large part of recovery so I have been walking as much as I can, usually 1 - 2 miles per day. I will continue to have physical restrictions for a while as my body continues to heal but I am very pleased with the outcome so far. I highly recommend Dr. Aimee Nguyen for any pelvic floor issues. Great experience here! Very thorough exam, testing, and treatment plan. Wonderful, kind, and caring MA’s, and friendly efficient office staff. Called in medication, gave referral information for useful products online, and gave printed/written directions. I had a test done out of office with their referral. Dr. Nguyen and Ashley were very professional and thorough with answers to my questions regarding surgery. I am about 10 weeks out from hysterectomy/prolapse surgery and recovery is going well. Limitations are spelled out clearly for the first 6-8 weeks. I did experience pain in the first 24 hours which was controlled with pain medication at the hospital. Once I came home, I only needed Tylenol and took Ibuprofen a few times to manage discomfort. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and staff. More

Aimee Nuguyen took excellent care of me. She explained all my options to address my uteran prolapse. I chose to have a laprascopic/robotic hysterectomy. The surgery was done at Plano Presbyterian Texas Health hospital. Dr. Nuguyen did a wonderful job. The nurses at the hospital were very caring and kind. They were impeccable! It has been 4 weeks since my surgery and my recovery has been great. I am feeling awesome. I wish i had known about her 5 years ago when the prolapsing of multiple organs became painful. I am now pain free and have a very normal anatomy! Solved my problem when other providers had not. One tiny glitch. Even though I was an on going patient the prescription was called into a pharmacy in Frisco instead of Sam’s Pharmacy in Sherman. Taylor at the Frisco pharmacy was very pro active in working in contacting me and transferring the prescription to my pharmacy within minutes of her pharmacy closing. I was able to pickup my prescription in Sherman and then was able to achieve a greatly need relief. More

I am 6 weeks post op, and I feel so good. I am a swimmer who is about to go to college and has always felt uncomfortable changing around other girls. This review is based on my experience only....I had a prolapsed bladder, that was extremely uncomfortable & I felt it collapse at end of 2022. I did not want a male doctor and my female physician recommended Dr. Aimee Nguyen. My surgery took place on 4/3/2023 and only hours after surgery, I felt no pain. Today marks my 6 week post op and Dr. Nguyen said I was great. The process was lengthy, but not much you can do. After surgery you will not be able to bend for approximately 7 weeks, but you can walk in moderation. I truly feel that I made the right choice in doctors for this procedure. My bladder prolapsed because I am a very active 67 year old and I lift and push heavy things. But now I have given this up and will ask for help. Don't be afraid and have faith in God and you will be okay. I feel wonderful. Hope I am able to give some hope to those that are hesitant about having this procedure done . More

As a momma of 5; a wife; AND a business leader I'm busy, so I really appreciated the way that Dr. Nguyen and her entire team respected my time throughout the process. No need to get into all the details of what I needed done, but it was a lot. :) Recovery was going to be 10 weeks and I had apprehension around making the "right" decision for my own health, but also for my family and our future. The teams gave me all the options and helped me understand pros/cons of waiting vs pursuing corrective surgical options. Dr. Nguyen personally made time in office; before surgery; and during recovery to ensure I understood my options and made decisions that would serve me well. Pain management was discussed, and the plan allowed me to wake up post-surgery and to recover without experiencing pain beyond what I could handle. I'm 12 weeks out from surgery and felt the benefit by day 2. My husband and kids helped me stay committed to following all post-op instructions, and I've resumed normal activities, the gym, and playing with the kids as a new - improved - healthier me. Extremely grateful. Don't put taking care of your own health at the end of your long To Do List, ladies. Get a great partner like Dr. Nguyen and experience the resolution of symptoms that can really slow you down. More

As a mature woman of 69 with three deliveries of big lads, urine leakage and rectal issues are normal and come with the aging process. . . NOT! My doctor, Dr. Ruby John (excellent) referred me to Dr. Aimee Nguyen. After the first exam with the PA, my next appointment with Dr. Nguyen was very informative and reassuring. My issues were  easily fixed! Surgery was scheduled, what a great experience at Presbyterian Plano from admission to discharge the next day! 4 weeks post op, the bowel issues are completely resolved! oh my! Did not know how badly the repair was needed! some tweaking for the bladder issues will be addressed in January with a day surgery procedure. Dr. Aimee! thank you so much! More

Perfect results - I was back to my daily activities after 2 weeks - Dr. Nguyen provided exceptional care during my visits. Dr. Nguyen and her staff are very supportive and compassionate in the care they deliver. I was very comfortable knowing they have an all women staff. It made it easier for me to open up about any sensitive and private issues. The procedure I got done was labiaplasty and hymenoplasty. Everything went very smoothly. I have worked in healthcare for almost 40 years and tend to judge harshly medical offices that don't live up to my expectations. I cannot think of a single thing I would change about Dr. Nguyen's office. I was cared for by many people in the office, scheduling, front desk, insurance billing, medical assistants, technicians, Dr. Nguyen's P.A., etc.. Dr. Nguyen was the third urologist I had visited over the past few years with my prolapsed bladder. The first one gave me a brochure for one option she was promoting. After reading her reviews, it must have been her only option because I identified with many of the negative reviews. The second urologist was less than educational. He gave me options, surgery or pessary, pushing for surgery. I wasn't prepared for surgery so I chose the pessary. I had never heard of the word pessary until that day and he didn't explain much, such as the different pessary designs, and he sure didn't mention the word lubricant. Which brought me to Dr. Nguyen. I am so glad I found her. She has been most helpful with educating me about my choices. I recently chose surgery after using a pessary for a year. I didn't have any complications immediately after the surgery and don't expect to while in my recovery phase. So far, so good. I highly recommend Dr. Aimee Nguyen, M.D. More

So happy that she was able to fix my stress incontinence - I’m 4 weeks post op. Had a hysterectomy, urethral sling and labiaplasty. During my recovery I’ve needed ice packs, ibuprofen and very minimal hydrocodone. I think the worse pain was from the laparoscopic hysterectomy. I required gas-X. The labiaplasty pain is dull. I’m still wearing a panty liner and have sutures. I know I’m not fully healed but I definitely like what I see so far. I thought about this surgery for a year. Man what a wasted year! The recovery has been easy. Struck gold finding Dr Nguyen. I’m so happy that she was able to fix my stress incontinence and make my lady look young and pretty again. From my first appointment the office was very welcoming. I went in thinking I only had a Cystocele and found out I had POP. I was not prepared for this but everyone was patient, empathetic, informative, and explained all my options. Once I decided to proceed with surgery, Chandler the surgery coordinator answered all my questions and let me know exactly what to expect before and after surgery. She and her staff went above and beyond for me and I will be forever grateful - I am a mother of 4 (all vaginal deliveries) which caused laxity. In my research to correct my issue, I found Dr. Nguyen on YouTube. I reached out to her office and got an immediate response from Chandler. She was extremely nice and helpful. From there I set a consultation with Dr. Nguyen. Dr. Nguyen immediately made me feel comfortable. There was no judgment or anything.I was able to open up to her about my concerns and she listened intently. I could tell she really cared about my best interests and was very knowledgeable, patient, and has a very warm, welcoming spirit. She explained the process and answered all of my questions. Leading up to the surgery, and even after… I was able to reach out with questions and got a quick detailed response.I flew in from out of state the day before surgery. Caring and Extremely Competent - From start to finish, Dr. Nguyen was wonderful. She made what could have been a very awkward topic comfortable and easy. My surgery was wonderful. I had very little discomfort and dr Nguyen was very attentive to my needs (and still is three months later). I recently went to my ob for an annual check up and she said scar wise at the vaginal opening she couldn’t even tell I had anything done , but internally I she could tell I have much more support. I have PAST bladder leakage from having 4 children and while Dr Nguyen had warned me that a vaginoplasty may not help much with that, it has!!! I have not had any leakage in three months, although I haven’t attempted a trampoline yet hahaI did have some complications (I had body contouring procedures done in conjunction with Dr Nguyen’s), but I felt like Dr Nguyen genuinely cared about my well being and called to check on me without being prompted. She was responsive to any request or questions I have had other the last three months. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen! More

Best Surgeon for the Job! - I consulted with 4 surgeons before deciding to go with Dr. Nguyen for my labiaplasty and clitoral hood reduction. Out of all of them she had the most relevant experience and training, and patiently answered my laundry list of questions and concerns. During my consultation exam I could tell that she was making a game plan for my specific anatomy, and how to get as close to my goals as possible (very reduced but still natural looking, without harming sexual sensation of course). Other than a yeast infection I had no complications throughout healing. I do think my swelling lasted longer than most people, but at 7 months post-op I'm pretty sure I'm at my final result and satisfied. Clothing and exercise is finally comfortable, and while I don't feel that it looks like a 20 year old "tucked in" porn star I do think it looks much more "typical" now which is what I hoped for. I even went to a new obgyn for a well-woman exam and she said if I hadn't told her about the labiaplasty she wouldn't have been able to tell. If that's not a testament to a natural appearance then I don't know what is! No scars or bumps are left, just some natural wrinkling. So happy I finally pulled the trigger and got this done! More

I'm currently about 3wks post-op & super happy with my results! - With the stigma surrounding cosmetic surgery as well as women's sexuality, I was hesitant to get this procedure done for a very long time even after finding out about it - the shape/appearance of my labia isn't something I ever discussed with anyone, despite the fact that the extra skin was often uncomfortable & bothersome, and made me feel insecure about the appearance of my vagina as well. The fact that the subject is so taboo only made me feel more insecure, because I couldn't talk openly about any of the issues I was having & instead felt like I had to hide them. However, Dr. Nguyen understood all of these things, and was very easy to talk to each time I came in! She validated all of my concerns enthusiastically, and assured me that I would benefit from a labiaplasty. I didn't need too much convincing since I had been thinking about it for so long, but any uncertainties or reservations I had were quickly dispelled after my consultation with her! Dr. Nguyen does a great job of bringing a warm and friendly energy into the room, and she was always engaging, attentive, & seemed genuinely excited to be taking care of me. I felt very informed every step of the way, and even outside of our scheduled appointments she still made time to give me a call when I had some additional questions before surgery! Visited Dr. Aimee today for my initial consult and I am 100% ready! Her team in the office is fabulous. She is prompt, professional and caring and is a fabulous communicator. She answered every question that I had and more. She performed the exam and I knew that I was in the right place. She confirmed my concerns and I am currently scheduling my surgery with her. I will say that I am very hesitant regarding surgery. She helped me to put my fears into perspective and I truly appreciated that! She performs her surgeries on site in the surgical suite of her facility! So no risk of having to be exposed to a hospital!!! I even received a tour of the surgical waiting/recovery area by Chandler who was amazing and super helpful. I don’t look forward to medical procedures. In fact, they actually scare me. After seeing two urologists, dealing with frequent UTI’s and overactive bladder over a period of two years plus trying several medications that did not work, my primary Doctor referred me to Dr. Aimee Nguyen. I saw her P.A., Tian at my first appointment, and though disappointed at first not to see the doctor, I learned more about UTI’s and my step by step options than I could imagine. She also diagnosed a rectal prolapse. I had a couple more appointments involving diagnostic tests. Dr. Nguyen diagnosed a bladder lesion during a cystoscopy and suggested surgery to excise it as well as repair the rectal prolapse - two separate surgeries at the same time. I really didn’t know what to expect, and was worried about postop pain and recovery time. Dr. Nguyen explained the procedures and patiently answered my questions which calmed my nerves. Surgery went well, pre and postop. I am now four weeks post op. I can honestly say I had no pain following surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Aimee Nguyen and her staff at North Dallas Urogynecology. The annoying and painful bladder symptoms are gone! Thank you Dr. Nguyen!! More

Everyone in this office was very nice! They were kind and respectful and did not make me wait a long time. I had one visit here and left thinking they could not help me with my IC, so I found another doctor who I have chosen to use. Since then, Dr. Nguyen has called me herself to explain what treatments her office offers, and she was even interested in hearing about what the doctor I chose was doing. In my book, following up, listening, and learning make for a very good doctor! She says that she does not prescribe Elmiron anymore out of concern for the macular degeneration it can cause. (Another plus as I recently had one doctor try to talk me into taking it despite how nervous I was about it.) She does offer bladder instillations, which I've learned, many urologists do not. (And this is not part of my review, but I was recently told that a lot of people get the same relief from CystoProtek that they were getting from Elmiron.) If you have IC and choose to try this office, ask lots of questions and make sure you learn about everything they offer! More

She did a superb job with my surgery, no issues during or after. Honestly, little pain which means, no need for pain meds. Everything went absolutely perfect. That to me validates her skill level and expertise. Dr. Nguyen's is very passionate about doing all she can, surgically and non-surgically to correct your issues. She never made me feel like I was, just another patient. Dr. Nguyen always listened, ask me questions and made me feel comfortable asking her questions. Having put off doing anything about a Bladder Prolapse diagnosis years ago. Re-occurring UTI’s made it a priority recently. It was suggested I see a Urogynecologist. I did my research, and just like you are, read the reviews for Dr. Aimee Nguyen. I can honestly say through my initial contact with her staff. First visit with her PA-C Tien and subsequent visit with Dr. Nguyen all have been nothing short of kind, caring & professional. Upon my visit and examination by Dr. Nguyen she determined more than a prolapse repair would be necessary. Shall we say after two kiddos, and a hysterectomy. Everything down there was vying for the same location. In my case, surgery was 3 hours and required a one-night hospital stay. It has been 4 weeks post-op now and I am feeling great & healing well. Would I do this surgery again? Consider having this surgery earlier on? Would I have selected Dr. Nguyen as my surgeon? Yes, Yes and Absolutely! Do not wait any longer, you will be in good hands!
